Stars at Night Gala
Vertical Arts is excited to be a Presenting Support Partner for Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Foundations’ (SSWSC) fundraising gala “Stars at Night,” at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2016, in the Korbell Ballroom at The Steamboat Grand.
This year’s “Stars at Night” event is set to bring community members, friends, SSWSC alumni and coaches together to mingle with Olympians and support the foundation. The late December evening will be filled with dining, dancing and auctions benefiting the athletes of the SSWSC as well as live music from Steamboat’s premier dance band, Loose Change.
In celebration of Steamboat Springs’ unrivaled winter sports heritage, SSWSC’s mission is “to inspire the pursuit of excellence and empower members of the community to achieve their personal goals in athletics and in life through participation in sports.” In short, the organization strives to produce “champions” both on and off of the mountain.
SSWSC offers training in alpine, cross country, freestyle, freeskiing, nordic combined, special jumping, telemark, snowboard freestyle and alpine snowboarding as well as strength and conditioning, mountain biking, road biking and skateboarding. The organization has trained 88 Olympians with 151 Winter Olympic appearances in 19 Winter Games representing 12 countries — talk about a track record of success!
As the philanthropic arm of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, the SSWSC Foundation raises funds that enable the club to fulfill its mission. With your help, the foundation hopes to raise $50,000 through auctions associated with the event. There will be both silent auctions and live auctions featuring numerous items available for bidding. In fact, you can start bidding on silent auction items here right now.
Vertical Arts Architecture is proud to support organizations like SSWSC that encourage every individual to achieve their highest level of human (and athletic) performance and positively impact both current and future generations. SSWSC has served tens of thousands of kids over more than a century and the organization’s impact goes far beyond the athletic results and extends into the personal growth and development of healthy, contributing community members.
